Richard Blome (1641–1705) was an English book publisher and bookseller. In 1670 he published a world atlas A Geographical Description of the Four Parts of the World. The maps included in that atlas were copies of Nicolas Sanson’s works adapted for the English public. R. Blome’s maps, decorated with pictures of coats of arms, ships, animals, textual abstracts and dedications to local celebrities, are notable for their individual style and charm.
