Zbigniew Kaliszczak was a graphic artist, painter and sculptor. He was born in 1903 in Rohatyn (Ukraine). In 1923–1927 he was a student of the Art faculty of Vilnius Stephen Bathory University, and in 1931–1932 – of the Academy of Graphic Arts of Leipzig. Apart from art, he was engaged in book printing and binding activities. In 1933–1937 he headed the Jan K. Trzebiński printing house in Radom, and in 1937–1945 he had his own printing house in Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski. He participated in the publication of the magazine Alma Mater Vilnensis and for a time was its artistic editor. He published three albums of graphics dedicated to Vilnius. After the war he lived in Gdansk. He held personal exhibitions in 1957 in Sopot and in 1970 in Gdansk. He died in 1985 in Gdansk.
