A side street in Vilnius

Author: Jerzy Pawłowski (1909–1991)

Pawłowski graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Art during the interwar period, and painted landscapes, portraits and caricatures, in oils, pastels and watercolours. He became a member of the Zachęta union of artists in 1958, and lived in Miłosna near Warsaw. The Warsaw Museum and the National Museum in Warsaw have some of his pictures. He made a series of cards in 1961 and 1962 showing architectural monuments in Poland, and some more romantic lithographs of Vilnius.
