Based on a lithograph by Erin Corr published in 1850 in the Album de Wilna.
The greatest number of prints in this series of Wilczyński’s book are reproductions of the miracle-working picture of Our Lady of the Gates of Dawn and the interior of the chapel with the picture. A colour lithograph showing the altar in the chapel, based on a drawing By Vasily Sadovnikov (1800–1879), was one of the first prints from the Album de Wilna to be repeated in an uncoloured lithograph and later in smaller steel engravings. There are more than 20 large and small lithographs and engravings in the Album of the interior of the Chapel of the Gates of Dawn and the painting of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Some were copied and reprinted by other publishers in the late 19th and early 20th century.
