This is a blissful moment by the Curonian Lagoon. Everything has settled down, and peace and silence prevail. Skilfully ainted stretches of water and sky open up in the distance, coloured by a mysteriously glowing light. Only the trunk of an old and misshapen tree reminds us of the dramatic force of nature. The picture gives a strong impression of the power of nature, ready to resist all the hardships of the coastal area.
