Joannes Fridericus Sapieha ( Jan Fryderyk, 1680–1751) was a writer and a prominent state figure in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. He was a delegate to several Sejms, Grand Referendary of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Castellan of Trakai, chair of the Chief Tribunal, and Great Chancellor of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. He wrote several works in Latin and Polish, the most important of which is the historical work Adnotationes …, published in Cologne, which contains a great deal of genealogical and biographical information about the Knights of the Order of the White Eagle.
