Jerzy Radziwiłł (1556–1600), Bishop of Vilnius and Krakow, the first cardinal of Lithuania, twice participated in a conclave for a papal election. He wrote a diary in Latin about his travels in Italy and described his recollections of Livonia. He was vicegerent of Stephen Bátory in Livonia.
