This landscape was painted during Švažas’ mature period. The poetic and vivacious view is full of the mystery and harmony of contrasting colours. The accords of highly generalised shapes and contrasting colours are sublimated, and are lifted above the daily routine. The mood is romantic, and the patches of colour are only allusions to trees. The picture is close to Fauvist painting, emanating joy and beauty.
