The course of lectures in rhetoric ‘An Improvising Orator, or A Short Overview of the Art of Eloquence in Two Parts’ by the Jesuit Michael Radau (1615–1687), a doctor of theology and professor at Vilnius University, was first published as a separate edition in Vilnius in 1640. It went through 24 reprints in various European cities in the 17th century. The Ellex Valiunas book collection contains 1661, 1664, 1673 and 1684 editions of Radau’s work.
