The work ‘Seven Books of Commentaries on the History of the Reign of Charles Gustav of Sweden’, about the war between Sweden and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth of 16551660, by Samuel Pufendorf (16321694), a German historian and lawyer, and diplomat for Charles XI of Sweden. The author describes the treaty concluded at Kėdainiai in 1655 between the Lithuanian nobles led by Grand Hetman Janusz Radziwiłł (16121655) and Magnus Gabriel de la Gardie (16221686), the viceroy of the King of Sweden. The book also includes the text of the Treaty of Oliva of 3 May 1660 between the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Sweden which put an end to the war.
