The style of Cezanne is revealed most clearly in the work of Justinas Vienožinskis (1886–1960). Older-generation painters produced mostly portraits and landscapes. These tendencies in style and genre were the core of the curriculum at Kaunas Art School, and prevailed in exhibitions until the 1930s.
