Many artists were drawn by the beautiful lakes region of Aukštadvaris. This view was painted in a modern style, with decorative patches of green, gold and red, broad, dynamic brushstrokes, and an impressive sky with large and heavy clouds approaching. This is an epic landscape, which may be compared to Autumn, a picture by Kalpokas which became a classic of Lithuanian landscape painting.
