A large piece of equipment that ends up in a field is seen as a ghost, caught in an alien environment. Its dark contours and the rows of pipes accentuated by touches of red make it stand out against the green background. The restless rhythms of the lines and the dark shadows, and the very sight of the ‘technological marvel’ blocking the view of the harmonious landscape, express emotional dissatisfaction with this foreign body in the environment, although the picture is skilfully painted, has pleasant colouring and is shrouded in mystery.
