In this picture, streams are rippling, butterflies are fluttering, and flowers are growing, while the man-made red mansions are grim, like a jail for the human spirit. This man-made environment is separated from nature by a fence. Mundane and heavenly lives do not have strict boundaries: they are made discernible by symbolic signs, and divine and human eyes. The human eye is cast down at the earth, while the spiritual eye is mysteriously closed, as if it is in a pyramid, and then in a square. The picture was displayed at the 13th Dialogai International Painting Triennial in Vilnius in 2007.
