This etching of the Church of St Anne and the Bernardine Church is distinguished by its variety of tones, and its rich, soft and vibrant textures. The street is plunged into the dusk of an indeterminate time of day, a narrow ray of light illuminates shadowy buildings, and an unexpected glow fills the city with a strange and mystical atmosphere.
