Neither the abstract style nor the title of the painting directly associates this picture with the landscape genre. Its understanding of composition is characteristic of the style of painting of the mid-20th century. As the picture was inspired by nature, and by associations of its spirit and images with Lithuanian legends, the picture may be conditionally described as a contemporary landscape, especially since the artist makes a specific reference to the landscape of the Lakajai area.
